Farfalle Pasta in white cheese sauce

Preparation & Ingredients

Farfalle Pasta 2 Cups Boiled in hot water for 10mins with a pinch of salt & 1 Teaspoon oil. Drain it & wash with cold water, keep it aside.

  • 7 tablespoon white flour
  • 2 1/4 cup low fat milk
  • 1 1/3 cup Grated cheddar cheese (or any other as per preference)
  • 1 Teaspoon butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/2 Teaspoon oregano
  • Salt (Add with care, the cheese will have salt as well)

Recipe

Take a bowl. Mix flour with 1/4 cup milk until all the lumps have been removed. Keep aside.

Put the sauce pan over heat, add the butter. Once melted, add the remaining milk and keep stirring till the milk starts to steam. Just before it boils, add the milk and flour mixture.

Keep stirring until it thickens (around 5 mins)

take it off the heat and immediately add the Grated cheese. Mix till the sauces smoothens out. Do not add the cheese while the sauce is still heating, otherwise it will become stringy and grainy.

After the cheese is mixed, add garlic powder, oregano, chilli flakes and salt as per taste and mix well.

Add sauce to pasta and serve hot. Enjoy with your family & friends
