- 1 Cup Vari/Samu/Barnyard Millet, washed 3 times & soaked in 6 cups of water for 30mins.
- 1/2 Cup Coriander chopped
- 1/2 Cup Grated coconut
- 1 Potato cubed
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 2 Teaspoon sugar
- 4 Spoon Roased Ground nuts powder/Danyache kut
Seasoning
- 2 Spoons Clarified Butter/ Pure Ghee/Tup
- 1 spoon Cumin seeds/Jeera
- 5 Green chillies chopped
Recipe
Take a pan, heat it on the gas stove, Put ghee, let it melt. Put Cumin seeds/Jeera, green chillies, let it splutter, add the green chillies, saute it, add potatoes & fry it for 2 mins, then add Samu/Vari with entire water, saute for 2 mins. Add sugar, salt & groundnuts powder, stir it well & cover it with lid for 15 mins on slow gas. Keep checking every 5 mins, once it cooked, it’s ready to serve, Ganish with coconut & Coriander & ready to eat.
