Authentic Maharashtraian Tikhat Mithachi Poori / Spicy Poori’s

Ingredients

  • 3 Cup Wheat atta
  • 1/4 Cup Rawa / Samolina
  • 1 Teaspoon Jeera / cumin
  • 4 Teaspoons Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric power/ Haldi
  • 1 Teaspoon Til/ Sesame seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Ova,Ajwain/ Ani Seeds
  • 2 Pinch of Hing / Asafoitida
  • 1/2 Cup Coriander chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Hot Oil/ Mohan ( heat a oil & pour it in a above ingredients)
  • Oil for frying

Recipe
Mix All the above ingredients , add 1 & 1/2 Cups water slowly while kneading. Make a tight dough then chapati. Put little oil & knead it for 5 mins. Rest it for 15 min.

Make Pooris around 3 to 4″ diameter.

Take a Kadhai or pan ,make it hot, pour a oil , once it’s medium hot , to check put a small piece of dough, if it comes out popped up on the surface, oil is ready for frying.
Put one by one flat Poori’s in out, take it out without an oil. Put on the paper towel so the oil will get absorbed.
Serve with Boondi Raita/ Koshimbir/ Curd/ Pickel/ Chutney/ Tomato ketchup/ Subzi , it’s yummy, enjoy eating 😊

Boondi Raita

Take 1 Cup curd, 1 spoon roasted Jeera, 1/2 spoon Red Chilli powder, 1/2 spoon black or Himalayan Pink or Black salt, 1 spoon sugar, whisk it till it becomes smooth. Add chopped Coriander.
Add khari Boondi & ready to serve.

Green Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Coriander chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Pudhina/ Mint leaves
  • 1 ” Ginger chopped
  • 1 small Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Jeera
  • 1 spoon Dale/ Roasted gram or roasted chana
  • 1/2 lemon juice

Recipe
Put all the above ingredients in a mixer & 1/4 Cup water, grind it till it becomes coarsely or smooth as per your taste.

Serve with Hot Poori’s & ready to eat 😋😋
