Chocolate mousse

Chocolate mousse

Chocolate mousse recipe from fresh whipped cream in 5 Mins 😄🍫🧁

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 75 gm 84% chocolate (I used Guylian)

Make sure the whip cream is in the fridge so it is nice and chilled.

Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt.
You can use 2 methods to melt according to your preference.

Either temper the chocolate over hot water on the stove or melt it in a microwave.

If melting in a microwave be careful not to burn the chocolate. Start with melting the chocolate for 45 seconds. Take it out of the microwave and stir it well. Usually it melts in its own heat. If its still not full melted. Put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds and that should do it.

Once the chocolate is melted, take the whipped cream out of the fridge. Pour half the melted chocolate on top of the whipped cream and gently fold it until it is semi-mixed. Pour the rest of the chocolate and repeat the process until all the whipped cream mixed well with the chocolate.

Distribute the chocolate mousse into individual serving bowls and put it back in the fridge.

Let the mousse set in the fridge for 2 hours.
Top it off with sweetened cocoa powder. The best way is to use a small sieve.

There are endless ways to garnish a chocolate mousse. Instead of the cocoa powder you can use berries, almond flakes, chocolate flakes or any other garnish you prefer.
Enjoy eating with your family & friends.
