Preparation & Ingredients for filling:

  • 2 Cup Coconut grated
  • 1 & 1/2 Cup Sugar or Jaggery
  • 1 Teaspoon Cardamom & Nutmeg mix powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon saffron
    A pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon Pure Ghee

Recipe

Take a pot, make it hot, melt the Ghee, add coconut & sugar, cardemom, salt & saffron, saute till the sugar melts, it ready.

  • 1 Cup All purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Samolina/ Rawa
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil hot
  • 1/4 Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Cup water

Mix all the above ingredients in a large plate or bowl, put water, kneed it, make a soft Chapati dough.

Make 15 Balls of equal size, roll it like poori, put 1 Tablespoons coconut stuffing, fold it half, cut with a Karanji cutter, fry it in a oil till golden brown.
