Black Gram Vegetable | Chanyachi Usal

Preparations & Ingredients

1 Cup Brown Chane, washed, overnight soak on water, next day put in a cloth & tie tight, next day you get good Sprouts, put in a pressure cooker with 1 Cup water, take out 4 whistles, keep it aside. Now it is

  • 2 Cup boiled sprouted chane / black gram
  • 1 Large onion chopped
  • 1 Large Tomato chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Coriander
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated coconut
  • 1 Teaspoon Jaggery
  • 1 Teaspoon Chat Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Goda Masala
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 1 Teaspoon salt each

Put onions, Tomatoes & Green chilli in a mixer & coarsely ground. Keep it aside.

Recipe – Take a pan, put 1 Tablespoon oil, add 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds, Jeera 1 Teaspoon, 1 pinch of Asafoetida/ Hing, 1/2 Teaspoon haldi , then put Boiled chane with 2 Cup water, add other all the ingredients & stir it, cover with lid on slow flame for 15mins, ready to serve & eat.
