Oats Upma

Preparations & ingredients

  • 2 Cup Oats
  • 2 Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Chopped onions
  • 1 handful of toasted Groundnuts
  • 3/4  Teaspoon salt
  • 2 Teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 Cup  chopped Coriander
  • 2 Cups water

Seasoning

  • 2 Teaspoon oil
  • 1 Teaspoon pure Ghee
  • 1 Teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Jeera
  • A pinch of Asafetida/Hing
  • 1/2 spoon Turmeric powder/Halad
  • 5/6 leaves Curry leaves/Kadhi patta

Recipe
Take a pan & heat a oil on gas stove.
Put a oil , Ghee & make a seasoning. Put onions & tomatoes,  saute for 2 mins till soft. Add Corn kernels & Green peas, saute it for 2 mins. Put  a  water in it, put others ingredients, after one boil add oats & fold it ,  so it won’t get lumps. The texture should be even & smooth. Cover it for 5 mins with lid  to cook on slow gas. Garnish with Coriander & serve it. Ready to eat.
