Preparations & ingredients

  • 1 Kg Pohe (Thin), roasted to get crunchy
  • 100 gms Peanuts
  • 100 gms Cashews (optional)
  • 50 Gms Roasted Chana/Dale
  • 1/2 Cup dry Coconut chips/khobryache kaap
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 12 green chillies chopped (depends on the spice)
  • 15 /20 Curry leaves/Kadhipatta
  • 1 Tablespoons Mustard seeds/Mohori
  • 1 Tablespoons Cumin/Jeera
  • 1 Teaspoon White Sesame seeds/Til
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Asafoitida/Hing
  • 1 spoon Turmeric powder/Haldi
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli powder (As per your taste)
  • 1 & 1/2 spoon salt (As per your taste)
  • 2 Tablespoon sugar (As per your taste)

Recipe
Take a large utensil heat it, put oil & add seasoning/Phodni ingredients one by one, add peanuts, cashews, rosted chanas & dry coconut chips, fry them for 2 mins on slow flame, add poha fry roast again & Salt, Sugar & Red Chilli & toss it for 5 mins on slow flame, it becomes crispy, take out from gas ,Ready to eat.

Please note: Let it cool completely to a normal temperature & then put in a storage container or Dabba, orelse it will get soggy.
